These are some great lobster cookbooks for those of you who prefer a flour-covered book on the kitchen counter over electronic recipes. Some of these books have great pictures that are so pretty they could almost be coffee-table books.
Lobster at Home by Jasper White is by far my favourite of the books on this page. Lobster at Home is rather like this website... a complete resource on all things to do with lobster, including how to choose a lobster (oops, I still have to add that info here!), how to cook lobster, how to eat lobster, some great lobster recipes, and some just plain cool info and trivia about lobsters.
Lobster and Other Shellfish (Flavours Cookbook) by Virginia Lee and Steven Isleifson offers a good selection of lobster recipes, along with recipes for other seafood, including clams, crab, shrimp, scallops, and mussels. Recipes include ideas for presentation of food, and the book includes lots of pictures.
The Lobster Roll: {and other pleasures of summer by the beach} by Andrea Terry and Jodi de la Femina is a cookbook that will remind you of summer vacation. Andrea and Jodi are the chefs responsible for the famous Hamptons restaurant, "Lunch". With recipes like barbequed ribs, coleslaw, pies, iced tea and lemonade, along with the lobster rolls and lobster bisque, it's a real pleaser.
The Great Lobster and Crab Cookbook (Great Seafood Series) by Whitecap Books includes hints on buying, preparing, and serving various shellfish: lobsters and crabs, mussels and clams, scallops and oysters, and prawns. It includes a good selection of recipes, and has lots of pictures as well.
