How to eat lobster is not something that can easily be described in words. So I'm going to show you a couple of videos instead. Neither of these are me (would you ever have guessed!) but maybe one day I'll get hubby to tape me.
You'll see some videos or pictures of fancy chefs cracking lobster, they use a ton of tools and seem to take an awful long time to get the meat out. There is an easier way: use your fingers!
This guy is from Maine, and he's got a pretty good technique for eating lobster.
Only thing, he's missed how to get the juicy lobster meat out of the legs. Now this is how I eat lobster. And if you want to get every little bit, it works for the little fins on the tail as well.
Now they've both missed the body. If you lift the sides of the body, there's a little extra meat in there. You can also dig from the back cavity of the body. If you find red stuff, you know you've got a female. That is the eggs, and totally edible.
The green stuff is a bit controversial. It's the tomalley. I personally think it's delicious, and love eating it. However, there have been advisories against eating it. Take a look at

for the most current information about whether eating the tomalley is safe.
